Rayheyob reacted to this post about 1 year agoAmong highlights @2023 NMC morning session. Fr. Ethan Moore's summation of Father Robert Spitzer's most excellent meditation on the Eucharist: a kind of spiritual Chuck Norris prayerfully doing "an absolute roundhouse kick to my heart." Thank you Fr. Spitzer. And thank you Lord Jesus Christ.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream.

Returning this afternoon to maybe the foundational takeaway for my life @2023 NMC. In short when did Jonathan Roumie discover God's purposes for his broken life? AFTER THE MOMENT OF PRAYING BEFORE A CRUCIFIX IN HIS ROOM, and surrendering everything in his life to God, which finally included his aspirations as an actor. Reminds me of St. Padre Pio's spiritual director, Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo, and a novena given to the same by Our LORD.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Continue to be struck by Jonathan Roumie's disclosure @2023 NMC, reference his first interaction with Dallas Jenkins: it involved trying out for the role of the penitent thief in the film, Once We Were Slaves (2014), later retitled The Two Thieves. So fascinating the role of the penitent thief is the place where God chose the actor for the role of Jesus. Equally fascinating that Jonathan's failure to land the part somehow served as the door through which God chose Jonathan to be Jesus in the same film and then eventually in The Chosen. No small irony that whereas we might just as well want to forget, hide, run away from our brokenness and failures, God does not do so. But rather uses the same as a door through which to lead and transform us into the likeness of His Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. His grandparents, Blessed Karl of Austria and Servant of God Zita of Bourbon-Parma, illustrate the proclamation as a revealed way of life.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully.
