Mission:

To instruct and disciple Catholic men to a deeper transformational relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Approach:

Strengthen the man, strengthen the family.
Strengthen the family, strengthen the Church.
Strengthen the Church, transform the culture.

Our Work:

Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance (CMLA) exists to help build dynamic ministry to men in every diocese in North America and beyond. Ministry to men is about the ongoing conversion, transformation and mobilization of our Catholic men as they deepen their relationship with Christ. We are building a team of regional, state and diocesan leaders to accomplish this mission and vision. Collaboration is essential to accomplishing our mission. We partner with other Christian ministries to men and other member groups that are engaged in ministry to men.

Our Story:

In 2017 a group of four laymen, a priest and a deacon convened to seek God’s help to reach men across North America with the strength and hope found in Jesus Christ. What developed was a vision to unify the efforts of Catholic men’s groups and to advance Catholic ministry to men with mentorship, expertise and essential resources. Recognizing the very evident need for ministry to men in the Church and culture, the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance was formed.

The Alliance has grown from humble beginnings to now having representatives in many dioceses in the United States, as well as Canada, Singapore, Africa, South America and other countries around the world. Laymen, priests, deacons and bishops are all lauding the impact the Alliance is making to develop strong men of faith.

Bringing Catholic Values to Life

ABOUT:
We are a Catholic fraternal benefit society dedicated to helping members achieve financial security through life insurance while supporting the Catholic community through fraternal outreach.

OUR HISTORY:
Our commitment to caring began on May 24, 1883 at Holy Family Parish in Chicago, Illinois. At that time, impoverished immigrants streamed into the United States seeking a better life. When families lost their breadwinner, friends and neighbors typically collected money to assist survivors financially

Those collecting money eventually formed associations, generally based on religious or ethnic backgrounds. Often these societies became focal points for community life. Forty-two men saw a need in their community, so they decided to financially protect their families by each placing $1 on a wooden desk to be used to protect any family in need. This desk resides in the Memorabilia Room at the Home Office. COF grew from this foundation and, for more than a century, has aided individuals, families and communities in need.

The name "Catholic Order of Foresters" refers to us being called to care for our Catholic community. As a forester cares for the forests and animals, we must care for our brothers and sisters in need.

TODAY:
Each member holds an insurance certificate and eligibility for COF’s member benefits, just one of many things that sets us apart from other life insurance companies. By offering members fraternal benefits, including scholarships, we bring Catholic values to life.

We have more than 95,000 adult and youth members nationwide. As a fraternal benefit insurance society, we operate under a representative system and hold a National Convention every four years. (Learn more about this process here.) COF is licensed in 38 states and Washington, D.C. Our product portfolio includes Term Life, Whole Life, Universal Life, and Annuities.

Members can be confident in the ease and security of doing business with COF. Our website allows members to view policy information in real time and pay bills securely online. All COF agents are trained in e-App, our digital life insurance application. Members and those interested in learning more about COF can communicate with us via phone, email, web form or text message, knowing we will be there when you need us most.

Our Home Office is located in Naperville, Illinois. The award-winning team here is comprised of more than 80 individuals. The team has earned a LOMA Excellence in Education Award, COF earned a 2017 Esteemed Partner Award from Catholic Charities - Diocese of Joliet, and Catholic Forester (COF’s bi-monthly magazine) received Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) in 2017 and 2018.

INVESTING WITH CATHOLIC VALUES:
Catholic values are the foundation of our organization.

Our Catholic faith provides a foundation that contributes to the long-term strategy and successful track record of the management of Catholic Order of Foresters’ assets.

Catholic Order of Foresters’ Investment Policy Statement mandates the invested assets of the organization be managed in a manner that is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. In order to uphold the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, the Investment Management Team follows guidelines and is restricted from investing in companies that:

- Participate in abortion
- Manufacture contraceptives
- Engage in cloning and embryonic stem-cell research
- Provide direct funding to Planned Parenthood
- Derive a majority of revenue from gaming or pornography

We generally avoid companies that publicly advocate non-Catholic initiatives.
We remain consistent with the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
We provide financial solutions to Roman Catholic Institutions.

The Investment Management Team works diligently using available resources to ensure on a best efforts basis that members' funds are managed within the guidelines.

In addition to restricting certain investments, our Catholic faith guides our team to provide financing solutions to various Roman Catholic institutions. For more than 30 years, Catholic Order of Foresters (COF) has provided flexible financing terms for diocese, parishes, schools, and religious orders. In many cases, the Catholic institution has exhausted all other options, and the financing from our organization has allowed for the continuation of its mission while offering a suitable investment opportunity for our members. Many long-standing relationships have been built within the Catholic community through this lending initiative.

Our Catholic faith will continue to guide COF's leadership and team as we strive to fulfill our mission as a Catholic fraternal benefit society.

ABOUT CATHOLICS FOR CATHOLICS:

Who started Catholics for Catholics and what is its mission?
We are a group of Catholics who love God and Country.
Our Faith impels us to make our voices heard in the public square as the Savior instructed us not to keep our light under a basket.
Furthermore, since so many core American principles sync with the bedrock 2,000 year old teaching of our own Catholic Faith, this validates even more our mission to be in the world, though not of it.
As a 501c4 organization Catholics for Catholics provides educational resources about Catholic doctrine including materials addressing Catholic leaders’ positions on public policy, legislation, and other matters affecting social welfare. Catholics for Catholics also promotes related activities that similarly promote social welfare based on Catholic doctrinal teachings.
The two-tiered focus of education and action as outlined above, will help us to hold our elected leaders accountable to the Constitution and in a special way to those politicians who refer to themselves as Catholic. Recently, we have witnessed a unique crisis unfolding within both Church and State, as leaders in both have begun to veer from our guiding documents; the Holy Bible and Constitution.
It is not enough to call oneself Catholic for one must show it with actions and policies that reflect it. The deafening silence of Church leaders who are the first ones tasked with guarding the truths of our Faith, has made it all the more urgent that we stand up now and hold the line.
The cultural climate has shown an increasingly hostile effort to silence voices like us. Yet by locking arms with other groups that are doing the same, and tapping into the blood of martyrs that flow in our veins, we will trust in the words of the Mother of Christ who said in the apparition of 1859 in Wisconsin, “Go and Fear Nothing, I will help you.”

GET UPDATES ON THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE FROM A CATHOLIC PERSPECTIVE.
Catholics for Catholics is moving hearts and minds for Jesus Christ and His Church—and inspiring a new wave of Catholicism and love of America.

- A 25 year veteran of Wall Street teaches others how to flip stocks for quick profits

Today a chorus of “experts” claim to have the best way to use Wall Street for daily profits but few post their performance for the world to see.

I discovered more than 25 years ago the best way to make money (and a lot of it) was to limit the amount of time my money remained in the market. Over time that system was perfected so that now my average hold time for a stock is 20 minutes and that reduces my overall risk to the stock market.

Less time and bigger profits!

During March of 2020 I used a $27,000 portfolio and generated $41,320 in profits using 89 stocks and did so by limiting the amount of time the money remains in the market. I discovered more than 25 years ago my profit potential is greatly enhanced if I reduce the amount of time my money is in the market and is exposed to risk. On average, we buy and sell a stock within twenty minutes.

Decades of Documented Profits:

In May of 2003 this program began with $2,100 placed into an Ameritrade online account and over the following eight months more than $34,000 was generated. During the banking crisis of 2008 a $25,000 portfolio was used to generate $91,555 in just 90 days. The following year nearly $200,000 was generated using the same $25,000 portfolio, flipping stocks for quick gains and in the 4Q of 2018 we saw a 55.2% increase as we flipped 109 stocks for quick gains. Regardless of which way the market is moving (up, down or sideways), this system has created revenue decade after decade and serves as the most exciting, flexible and portable business opportunity going today!

It is important to recognize that taking on Wall Street without a proven system can result in serious financial loss and Day Trade Fun strongly encourages a review of the Day Trading advisory issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Embodied Magazine tells the stories of those living from a place of self-giving love.

Embodied follows the lead of St. John Paul II by evangelizing through witness. It tells the stories of those who are living the truths of TOB in order to remind readers who they are and inspire them to also live their lives from a place of divine love. As a beautifully produced magazine with engaging content on contemporary issues, Embodied witnesses to what life looks like when we love as God loves. With inspiring content developed for readers from their teens to their nineties, it fills the gap that exists in bringing the message of TOB to new and larger audiences.

It has been 36 years since St. Pope John Paul II delivered the last of his 129 weekly addresses known collectively as the Theology of the Body (TOB). As pope, he laid out for the world what has been called an adequate anthropology in which the human body reveals God, that the body is “capable of making visible what is invisible: the spiritual and divine.”

In the four decades following the pope’s series of lectures, theologians have begun unpacking their rich meaning and insights. Inspiring books have been written, excellent ministries have sprung up, and hearts have been inflamed by the profound truth of the depth of God’s love for us and his desire to draw us to Himself so that we can learn to love as He loves. TOB is gaining attention.

But a challenge today exists

Not everyone is being reached by these ministries, and some who do hear about Theology of the Body need an easier introduction than attending a course, reading a book or hoping a live event comes to their area.

An easier entry is needed, and that is Embodied Magazine.

Embodied will follow the lead of St. John Paul II by evangelizing through witness. It tells the stories of those who are living the truths of TOB in order to remind readers who they are and inspire them to also live their lives from a place of divine, self-giving love.

As a beautifully produced magazine with engaging content on contemporary issues, Embodied will witness to what life looks like when we love as God loves. With inspiring content developed for readers from their teens to their nineties, it will help fill a gap that exists in bringing the message of TOB to everyone.

Why a magazine?

Advantage 1: Incredible accessibility.

A magazine subscription is inexpensive and is delivered right to your mailbox. Very accessible to all; less intimidating than a book.

Advantage 2: Completely experiential

TOB will come alive through engaging stories that use beautiful design, imagery, story-telling. God designed us to be drawn to the beautiful to speak to us. Readers will hold Embodied in their hands and experience it physically – an integral component of TOB that is hard to deliver electronically.

Advantage 3: TOB for new audiences and its fans

There are other TOB ministries that unpack the deep mysteries of St. John Paul II’s catechesis. Embodied will first target those largely unfamiliar with TOB or who have only a brief introduction to it. It will also provide connections to support and ongoing development for anyone trying to live out TOB.

90 days to be a better man. Is it time for your exodus?

Are you tired of:
- overeating?
- staring at your screen?
- wasting time on your phone?
- doom-scrolling?
- over drinking?
- binge-watching shows?

Exodus offers a roadmap to a more fulfilling life.

Research shows that habits can be dramatically transformed in a span of 90 days. And, when put in the context of the Book of Exodus, a routine prayer life, and a fraternity of brothers to support you, men experience freedom from unwanted habits and an ability to be who they were truly called to be: Men in Christ. Men of the Church. Men for Others.

More than 60,000 men from around the world have journeyed through the Exodus with their brothers. Single men, married men, priests, bishops, Christians and non-Christians alike. They overwhelming tell us Exodus 90 has given them a level of freedom they did not have before.

How it Works:

Prayer
You will journey with your brothers through the Book of Exodus. Each morning you’ll have a passage from the Bible and a reflection to guide your silent prayer.

Asceticism
We can’t say “yes” to God until we have said “no” to the world and its comforts. You’ll return to the Church’s ancient – and largely forgotten – tradition of asceticism (a fancy word that means “acts of self denial”).

Fraternity
Invite men you know to journey with you: your friends, co-workers, brothers, or that random guy at Church. You'll meet weekly and follow a simple structure for prayer, encouragement, and accountability.

In 2014, three siblings had an idea. What would it look like if we took the newly popular concept of crowdfunding and stretched it beyond simply funding people's material needs to providing hope for people’s spiritual needs?

Out of those discussions, GiveSendGo was born. After over a year of development and setbacks, we launched GiveSendGo with a beta version in early 2015.

We had meetings daily to talk about and pray for GiveSendGo and the direction we were headed. Once we felt the site was ready to be put out into the world, we had a public launch party in October 2015. We saw steady growth as we worked tirelessly behind the scenes with fixes and changes, making the website work more efficiently while learning the lessons needed to grow a crowdfunding platform.

We ran the race in obedience year after year, patiently waiting for the day GiveSendGo would take off. Little did we know God was just preparing us for the plans he had for us.

At the end of the summer of 2020, during the middle of a pandemic, we watched as GiveSendGo was thrust into the political spotlight for allowing a campaign that mainstream media had shut down and was censoring. Unbeknownst to us, we had stepped onto a battlefield and had to take a stand. After much prayer, discussion, and counsel, a decision was made. GiveSendGo was created for such a time as this. Not to take one side or another politically, but in the middle of a divided political culture, we were to be focused on the very reason we started GiveSendGo: to share the Hope of Jesus through crowdfunding with everyone who comes to our platform.

That continues to be our focus as we stand for freedom.

Helping to Bring Jesus Christ to Everyone …and Everyone to Jesus Christ

Catholic Radio Indy is a not-for-profit organization established to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to all in Central Indiana. Our goal is to broadcast the beauty and teachings of the Catholic Church and to inform, inspire and challenge listeners so that all who hear our programming may be brought into the Kingdom of God.

We are not-for-profit, listener-supported Catholic Radio. We receive no direct financial support from either the Archdiocese of Indianapolis nor the diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana. We are grateful to both dioceses for their strong support of our mission and efforts.

Our corporate name is Inter Mirifica, a term coming from Vatican II, which is a call to action for the church laity to be responsible for evangelization.

Our Patron, Priest and Martyr 1894-1941
Feast Day - Aug 14th

St. Maximilian Kolbe was a well-known communicator, before later becoming a martyr in a Nazi prisoner of war camp. He foumaximilian kolbended the Knights of the Immaculata, whose aim was to fight evil with the witness of the good life, prayer, work and suffering. His organization founded several houses for religious in Poland and Japan and published a magazine that reached a circulation of over 1,000,000. In Poland he also set up the very first Catholic radio station in that part of the world. The broadcasts were 100% local and featured teaching, music and singing by members of one of his religious communities.

After the fall of Poland in 1939, St. Maximilian and several of his friars were arrested, imprisoned, but later released. Several months later, the Nazis re-arrested St. Maximilian, imprisoned him, which ultimately lead to his being held at Auschwitz prison camp. There, after the escape of a prisoner, the commandant announced that 10 other prisoners, at random, would die in his place. One of those prisoners, when selected by the commandant, stated that he had a wife and children. St. Maximilian Kolbe volunteered to take his place without fanfare. The ten were led away to be confined in cells where they were allowed to starve to death.

For more than 120 years, Izzy’s has been serving up the World’s Greatest Reubens.

Our story starts in the late 1800’s when a couple of Jewish immigrants left behind an economic depression and oppression politics of the Czar from Russia. Like many at that time they felt the New World offered them a real chance to succeed and be free. Settling in Cincinnati Mr. Kadetz offered his flair for cooking at the renowned Sinton St. Nicolas Hotel in Cincinnati. With his confidence in culinary expertise and not being afraid of taking risk he opened the first kosher style delicatessen West of the Alleghenies. His legacy has lived on tracing back to the start in 1901.

The stiff-necked and stubborn character of Izzy often left people with many memories. Whether it was the shouting back and forth between himself and his wife Rose, or the price of food that varied depending on what you were wearing and if you looked like you had extra money to spend. Izzy’s boisterous style coupled along with the savoring food left many Cincinnatians with great food and good memories.

In 1980 Izzy’s son David began running the restaurant. David carried much of the same qualities possessed by Izzy and soon grew the reputation and business of Izzy’s tremendously. In 1982 David opened a second restaurant on Sixth and Main Street in downtown Cincinnati, and he asked trusted friend John Geisen, then a skilled tradesman, to manage the location.

John worked closely with the Kadetz family, who took him under their wing and began to instill their family and business values. John came to understand that the secret to Izzy’s success was rooted in offering superior quality along with the highest level of customer service.

Together John and David helped grow the business over the years and John Geisen became the President and CEO.

John embarked on a mission to instill his passion for quality on everyone at Izzy’s—from the store managers to the front line staff. This “can-do” culture can be seen everyday at all Izzy’s locations, whether it’s a simple request for a special sandwich, or catering a party for 200 guests, Izzy’s employees understand that the customer is King. This passion for pleasing patrons easily explains the fierce loyalty shared by so many fans of Izzy’s.

Consistently ranked as the “best deli in Cincinnati“, visitors to this tri-state tradition soon realize that Izzy’s offers a unique experience that blends great food with friendly and attentive staff, all while maintaining the highest in quality and value.

But the Izzy’s family is not content to rest on their laurels; from serving on old pickle barrels with wood crates as chairs to the latest location having a drive-thru, modern lighting, comfortable seating and the latest innovative cooking equipment still serving the same homemade recipes Izzy Kadetz was handed down from his father dating back to 1901.

The future of Izzy’s will undoubtedly bring John’s passion for value and service beyond the tri-state. He remains eternally grateful for his fortunate relationship with Izzy, David, Rose, and the entire Kadetz Family. Upon reflecting on his time with them, John recalls back to the 80’s when he asked them, “Do you know what you get when you mix a Jew and a Catholic?”

The answer was a simple reply: “Success!”

Our Core

We have always operated our business to minimize the impact on our planet because caring for the environment is a priority at J.T.M. Food Group. J.T.M. is family-owned and operated the way our founder, Jack Maas Sr., taught us. We run the business with our customers’ best interests as guiding principles. We have always believed it is in the best interest of all of us to be good stewards of the environment.

J.T.M. is a multi-million dollar, multi-faceted food processing company with strong ties to the communities in which we operate. Over the past decade, the company has stepped up its efforts in environmental sustainability in ways that better serve our communities. Simply put, we have been practicing sustainability long before it became fashionable to do so. We are in the sustainability business for the long haul.

Packaging Products Responsibly

J.T.M. began its transition to reduced packaging as part of our initiative toward environmental sustainability. We began when the company switched packages containing kettle-cooked products from an 80 gram polyethylene tub to a 17 gram bag. These products are now packaged in die cut boxes reducing packaging by 20%. The corrugated containers J.T.M. uses are made from 30% recycled content. The retail division changed its packaging from a 196 gram corrugated box to a 27 gram bag. These changes have resulted in source reductions in packaging materials.

- Recycling for Landfill Reduction
- Waste Oil
- Food Waste
- Corrugated and Office Paper Waste
- Ferrous Metals
- Plastic Cups
- Used Batteries
- Used Fluorescent Bulbs
- Employ Reusable Trays
- Converted to Bulk Flour (reducing waste by 60,000 lbs. per year)

Energy Reduction

J.T.M. looks for state-of-the-art energy management tools to reduce its use of precious, and costly, energy.
Converted Metal Halide Lights to New T5 Lights
Use Geothermal Refrigeration, which uses 30% less electricity
Utilize Automated Storage Retrieval System in Storage Freezer, reducing refrigeration energy requirements by 30%
Use Waste Heat from Freezers

For Generations to Come

Our family knows the health of our environment today is really a commitment to future generations. The leadership at J.T.M. believes the steps we take now will leave our planet in better condition for generations to come.

The Universal Apostolic Preferences:
The Universal Apostolic Preferences are the fruit of a process of discernment lasting almost two years that concluded with a confirmation from Pope Francis.

The Preferences give a horizon, a point of reference to the whole Society of Jesus. They capture our imaginations and awaken our desires. They unite us in our mission. The new Preferences are four areas vital for our world today. The Society of Jesus will pay special attention to them in the next ten years. We invite you to learn more and take action with us! We want to make a Gospel difference.

Spiritual Direction:
Is God calling you to a deeper prayer life, personal discernment of your mission from God, and the integration of your spiritual life with your present journey with the Lord? You may consider Spiritual Direction.

Spiritual Direction is an opportunity to meet with a good listener and guide to notice the interior movements of God’s grace in your life, to grow in a more contemplative prayer life and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Spiritual Exercises for Busy People in Everyday Life is an 8-9 month program with a weekly or bi-weekly meeting with a spiritual director, using Scripture prayer and follows the major themes of the Spiritual Exercises.
